Respuesta:You get to choose which cards you discard.

Por la FAQ pone lo siguiente (en diferentes puntos):
In addition, a player cannot trigger a card effect that requires him to choose a certain number of targets if there are not enough valid targets available

For example, if a player plays Byakhee Attack (Core Set F95) which reads, “...Action: Each opponent chooses and discards 2 cards from his hand, if able.” an opponent with only one card in hand cannot choose and discard two cards, so they keep the card in their hand

Así que si el oponente se ha de descartar de exactamente 5 cartas y sólo tiene 4 en mano... pues no puede cumplir el efecto de descarte. Forzosamente se tendría que volver loco el personaje (la otra mitad del
