Para que veais que lio tienen los de FFG, pregunté esto directamente y me respondieron:
We're confused about the FAQ 1.5 Gaining control of attachments rule and how it interacts with attachments that are usually attached to opponent cards or game elements like stories. The FAQ states that:
"If a card effect allows you to take
control of a card, move that card into
your playing area. If that card is an
attachment, instead immediately attach
it to an eligible card (following all
requirements on the card) as if you had
just played it from hand. If you cannot,
then you may not take control of the
attachment."
Which in those cases is two things contradictory, to move it to your play area and then attach them to an elegible card as played form your hand, when those card are not normally attached to a card in your play area when play ed from your hand.
So, when I gain control of an Infernal Obsession, Do I have to attach it to a character I control (in my play area)?
What about controlling a Snow Graves, Do I have to attach it to my discard pile (since it's the only discard pile in my area)?
And what about attachments to things like story cards, i.e. The Silver Key. If I gain control of them, can I attach them to the story I want?.
The two are not necessarily contradictory, moving the attachment over to your side and attaching it to a character you control may be exactly how you would play it from hand. The word "instead" in the FAQ indicates that is the way that an attachment should be handled.

This means that when you take control of Infernal Obsession, Snow Graves, or The Silver Key, all Attachment support cards, you follow the second part of the FAQ entry, immediately attaching it to an eligible card (following all requirements on the card) as if you had played it from hand.
